National Crisis in India

Dec. 15, 2006— Ten million girls have been killed by their parents in India in the past 20 years, either before they were born or immediately after, a government minister said on Thursday, describing it as a "national crisis".

I would say it is about time for a crises!

This is a horrible thing to be going on in what is supposed to be a democracy. How could India's government not know that this was going on or they approved of killing innocent babies one. How many more countries are totally wack?

They do this, supposedly, because of having to give a dowry to the groom's family. This custom has been banned but still goes on. They see girls as a liability and boys as a blessing. I have one daughter, and three boys, and I would not trade all the boys in the world for her. She is so precious to me. Nor would I trade my boys either.
