Is Rick Warren Being Truthful?

Joseph Farah has a recorded Warren saying some things about Syria that Warren denies saying. Check it out in one of Farah's articles below.

The reason for me posting this is that I hate for other so called Christians to lie period!

Christian Solidarity International or Rick Warren

Who do you believe? Did Rick Warren have an agenda other than one of God?

By Allie Martin
January 3, 2007

(AgapePress) - An official with Christian Solidarity International (CSI) says the once thriving Christian majority in Syria has now been transformed into a small, frightened community. According to published reports, thousands of believers are fleeing from war-torn Iraq into Syria, but the Islamic nation provides no safe refuge for Christians.

This makes you wonder where exactly did Rick Warren visit when he made the following comments, along with others similar to this.

Rick Warren's Words
"Syria's a place that has Muslims and Christians living together for 1,400 years. So it's a lot more peaceful, honestly, than a lot of other places because Christians were here first.

This only leads one to believe one of two things. Either he did not actually do any kind of research while he was in Syria or he had another agenda that included lying to every one.

Either way I cannot understand what a so called, man of God, would do this.

What's Up With Rick Warren ?

Warren went to Syria and could find no persecution of Christians. He could find no persecution of Jews. He could find no evidence of extremism. He could find no evidence of the sponsorship of terrorism. This from WorldNetDaily.com

----------------------------------------------

Is Ricky playing both sides of the field? If you read what Joseph Farah has on his site you would think so. Did Ricky get to big and fall to worldly pressure? He would not have been the first and will not be the last.

I, even though the evidence seems overwhelming, am still holding out hope that God has a purpose for him. Other than the fortunes he has made already. I will pray for Ricky and hope you will do the same.

Ricky's real deal will come out in time. Will he, or has he already fallen from grace? A lie is a lie, period. Ricky says that he never made comments like those above but Mr. Farah saw it recorded and was on youtube until it mysteriously disappeared after Mr. Farah told Ricky it was on there.

Just another fish in the pond!

Rick Warren's Words

"Syria's a place that has Muslims and Christians living together for 1,400 years. So it's a lot more peaceful, honestly, than a lot of other places because Christians were here first.

"In fact, you know Saul of Tarsus - Saul was a Syrian. St. Paul, on the road to Damascus, had his conversion experience and so Christians have been here the longest, and they get along with the Muslims and the Muslims get along with them. There's a lot less tension than in other places.

"It's a moderate country, and the official government rule and position is to not allow any extremism of any kind."

Glenn Penner has a good article on this on his blog Persecuted Church Weblog

Here is part of it:
First, Paul was not a Syrian and never was. Tarsus was never part of Syria but was a city in the neighboring Roman province of Cilicia (part of present day Turkey). This is not mere quibbling; this is part of his argument that Christians were in Syria first.
