Iran, Isn't it an Islamic Country?

Yes, yes it is. But they still are doing all they can to pull on the Christian sympathy strings.

Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), described by many as the mouthpiece of the conservative Iranian government, published on Tuesday an editorial whose headline says the U.N.’s decision to enforce sanction against Iran has “ruined Merry Christmas.”
This is by Michelle Vu, Christian Today Correspondent.

Christmas is not a Muslim holiday, therefore, Muslim countries do not celebrate it. Muslims in the United States often request that their children not attend Christmas functions at school because the belief of Jesus, peace be upon him, being the son of God runs directly against the core Muslim belief.

“On the eve of the auspicious birthday of Jesus Christ when all Muslim and Christian believers extend best wishes to each other on the onset of the new year, leaders of Christian states took an unacceptable action toward Iranians by passing a resolution against national nuclear program which surprised every individual in Iran,” stated the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB).

You can see here how the Islamic faith is one of lies and deceit. Whatever it takes. The [IRIB] is stating what it thinks we all want to hear. But we need to realize it is a lie.

A Christian couple, who ran a church in Mashdad, Iran, have been released following their arrest nine days before.
by Daniel Blake Christian Today

There in Iran they are still arresting Christians because of their faith and they want to try and tell us that they are believers of Christmas.

I wonder just how many naive people out there believe this?

Rick Warren's Words

"Syria's a place that has Muslims and Christians living together for 1,400 years. So it's a lot more peaceful, honestly, than a lot of other places because Christians were here first.

"In fact, you know Saul of Tarsus - Saul was a Syrian. St. Paul, on the road to Damascus, had his conversion experience and so Christians have been here the longest, and they get along with the Muslims and the Muslims get along with them. There's a lot less tension than in other places.

"It's a moderate country, and the official government rule and position is to not allow any extremism of any kind."

Glenn Penner has a good article on this on his blog Persecuted Church Weblog

Here is part of it:
First, Paul was not a Syrian and never was. Tarsus was never part of Syria but was a city in the neighboring Roman province of Cilicia (part of present day Turkey). This is not mere quibbling; this is part of his argument that Christians were in Syria first.

ACLU And Communism-Believe It

I have just signed a national, grassroots petition to expose and defeat
the ACLU. For more information and to sign:

http://www.grassfire.net/81/petition.asp?PID=12080845&NID=1
Mr. Michael Carey

P.S. Please read below for more details.

In recent months, Grassfire has witnessed the reign of terror that
the ACLU has exacted on Americans--aggressively working to
strip away our religious freedom.

From the Pledge of Allegiance to the Ten Commandments, to
prayer, the ACLU is the nation's foremost censor of religious
freedom. They have effectively manipulated our very founding
principles to repress religious liberty.

But it doesn't end there.

ACLU policies and goals are destroying America's fabric by
pushing a radical agenda that supports polygamy, child
pornography, infanticide, gun control and more.

Despite their claim to be great defenders of liberty, they are
actually defending terrorists, molesters and murderers while
attacking honest, hard-working, principled Americans.

How can a grassroots organization defeat a giant like the ACLU?

Grassfire has teamed with the Liberty Counsel, one of the
nation's foremost legal organizations committed to protecting
our nation's traditional values and religious liberties--the very
principles that the ACLU opposes!

We have teamed with the Liberty Counsel because they have
already proven they can defeat the ACLU in the courts--a forum
that frankly isn't our area of expertise.

But in the court of public opinion, and rallying a nation to action,
we have few peers. That is why we are sounding the rally cry to
grassroots citizens-urging them to help us expose the ACLU for
what they really are--an anti-American organization with deep
roots in socialism and Communism.

In fact, their own founder, Roger Baldwin said, "We are for
socialism, disarmament and ultimately for abolishing the state
itself ... we seek the social ownership of property ... and the sole
control of those who produce wealth. Communism is the goal."

This is the real ACLU, and we need you to help us enlighten a
nation of people who have been deceived by signing our national
petition:

http://www.grassfire.net/81/petition.asp?PID=12080845&NID=1
Over the next 60 days, we want to mobilize at least 100,000
citizens who stand with Grassfire and the Liberty Counsel
against the despicable actions of the ACLU.
By adding your name, you will be represented in petitions,
official court briefs, memoranda and other documents on cases
involving attacks by the ACLU on our religious freedoms and
traditional values.

Together we can expose and defeat the ACLU.

Thank you for taking action with Grassfire.

Grassfire.org Alliance

Here Is A Response For Rep. Goode

A response that Susan Estrich thinks that Virginia Rep. Virgil Goode should apologize. I say, stand your ground Rep. Goode.

Hello Susan Estrich,
You wrote "Because Mr. Goode doesn’t believe in the Koran, Mr. Ellison doesn’t have any right to either. I kid you not.

What could be less American? Or less Christian?"

Read her full story Here
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

To me you seem very naive. Do you know that the Muslim movement is one that started years ago and that their only purpose is total world domination and to either convert all to Islam or to kill them. But to you and many, many others they are a peaceful people. Their beliefs include lying to anyone to cover up any thing of questionable intentions. Such as world domination. They do not believe they have to tell the truth only convert others by any means possible.

To you this is Islamophobia. To me this is reality.

This also in your article "“Islamophobic remarks send a message of intolerance that is unworthy of anyone elected to public office. There can be no reasonable defense for such bigotry,” Corey Saylor of the Council on American-Islamic Relations told reporters this week."

Where on the Council on American-Islamic Relations website is their anything other than Islam and the quran? This so called American-Islamic Relations is nothing more than a way for Muslims to spread their Islamic faith. Yet here in America it is allowed. How the Muslims must laugh out loud at us. Where in other countries Christianity is not allowed and most of the time people are killed for converting others or being converted or just speaking of the Christian faith.

Yes America is the land of the free. But we must not conform to always being politically correct. Our nation was founded on Christian principles and that is where we want to keep it.

You wrote "Merry Christmas Mr. Goode. Perhaps you’ll take some time to open that Bible of yours, instead of using it as a weapon of hate. And when you do, you might learn something about how to treat a new colleague who, like you, is ready to pledge on all that is holy to him to uphold our Constitution and laws." What is holy to Keith Ellison. When it is a fact that his religion teaches them to lie, kill, and to do whatever it takes to put Islam throughout the world by any means possible. That is the main difference between Islam and Christianity. Christians are told to spread the word and God will do the rest. Muslims are told to lie, torture, and kill, or by any means necessary convert all to Islam.

Last but not least, you think that Islam is standing up for Christmas beliefs? Here are some facts.
Christmas is not a Muslim holiday, therefore, Muslim countries do not celebrate it. Muslims in the United States often request that their children not attend Christmas functions at school because the belief of Jesus, peace be upon him, being the son of God runs directly against the core Muslim belief.

God Bless,
Michael Carey

Virginia Rep. Virgil Goode, Against Muslims?

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- A Virginia congressman will not apologize for writing that without immigration reform "there will be many more Muslims elected to office demanding the use of the Quran," his spokesman said.

He added, "The Ten Commandments and 'In God We Trust' are on the wall in my office. A Muslim student came by the office and asked why I did not have anything on my wall about the Quran.

"My response was clear, 'As long as I have the honor of representing the citizens of the 5th District of Virginia in the United States House of Representatives, the Quran is not going to be on the wall of my office.' "

------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the exactly what this country needs. A politician who will stand up for what is right. Not one who is politically correct. I say that he is not "against" Muslims but that America is not a Muslim country. And should not be. We are Americans not Muslims. And by the way, mostly Christians.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations asked Goode to apologize. Well The Council on American-Islamic Relations has a place on its web site where you can read the quran but it does not supply a spot where you can read The Holy Bible. I say that The Council on American-Islamic Relations is really The Council For Islamic Relations. They have one purpose and one purpose only. To convert as many people over to the Islamic faith as possible, period. And if any of American tax money is supporting this council it needs to stop and the one responsible needs to be out of office. Even if it is President Bush himself.

"Rep. Goode's Islamophobic remarks send a message of intolerance that is unworthy of anyone elected to public office," the council's Corey Saylor said in a statement. "There can be no reasonable defense for such bigotry." I say to Corey Saylor that he is a bigot who is also a coward because he will not state his real feelings as Rep. Goode does. And I also say that there are many more just like him. They will say and do anything, even lie to your face, to get their religious beliefs in this country.

America was founded on Christian beliefs and that is how it should stay. I say if someone does not agree with that they can live in another country.

America is Gods' country. But we have many people trying to turn it into a country of many gods or no God. This is a free democracy and we the majority say that The Ten Commandments and 'In God We Trust' is the way America is and wants to stay. It is our foundation.

Why must the Supreme Court decide on the Ten Commandments any way. Let us, the American people, just vote on it.

National Crisis in India

Dec. 15, 2006— Ten million girls have been killed by their parents in India in the past 20 years, either before they were born or immediately after, a government minister said on Thursday, describing it as a "national crisis".

I would say it is about time for a crises!

This is a horrible thing to be going on in what is supposed to be a democracy. How could India's government not know that this was going on or they approved of killing innocent babies one. How many more countries are totally wack?

They do this, supposedly, because of having to give a dowry to the groom's family. This custom has been banned but still goes on. They see girls as a liability and boys as a blessing. I have one daughter, and three boys, and I would not trade all the boys in the world for her. She is so precious to me. Nor would I trade my boys either.

India (Devanagari: भारत Bhārat), officially the Republic of India (Bhārat Gaṇarājya), is a country in South Asia. It is the seventh-largest country by geographical area, the second most populous country, and the most populous liberal democracy in the world. This from Wikipedia.

Islamists take over Somalia

As Islamists take over Somalia, its Western-backed neighbor Ethiopia prepares for war.
By Scott Baldauf | Staff writer of The Christian Science Monitor

ADDIS ABABA, ETHIOPIA – A new front in the global struggle for Islamist rule is emerging in Africa. And there are worrisome signs that battles between Somalia's rising Union of Islamic Courts (IUC) and the country's foundering Western-backed government might soon engulf the entire Horn of Africa in a regional war.

Like It Or Not Christmas Is A National Holiday

Just a little reminder that Christmas is a National Holiday that marks the traditional birth date of Jesus Christ. Yes, that is exactly what it is. A lot of Americans are afraid that we Christians are somehow infringing on others rights. Specifically the separation of church and state. But on December 6, 1999, the verdict for Ganulin v. United States (1999). declared that "the establishment of Christmas Day as a legal public holiday does not violate the Establishment Clause because it has a valid secular purpose." This decision was upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court on December 19, 2000.

A campaign to prevent any mention of the religious aspect of Christmas has been going on for some years. But as you read the facts below that where supplied by Wikipedia you will see that Christmas is a Nationally recognized Holiday celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. That is exactly what it was meant to be nothing less. I think that the 96% of Americans who do celebrate Christmas do have the majority. That is how democracy is ran. The 4% that do not celebrate Christmas are not hunted down and thrown into prison or killed, as with other cultures if their specific ways, faith, are not adhered to.

America, as a whole, does not know which way to turn because the bottom line is money. No company or organization that is for profit wants to offend anybody because that could lead to a loss of revenue. Some would and do sell their soul every Christmas because of money. Say Merry Christmas, Don't say Merry Christmas say Happy Holiday. Now some are going back, say Merry Christmas. Hello, does anyone know there is a war going on where people are being killed everyday, some of them Americans. Christmas is what it is, get over it or get with it. Either way get off the fence and stand for something. I pray it would be for Christ. To our enemies around the world this is exactly how they see us as a society afraid, period. Afraid to take a stand, it may cost them votes. Afraid to make a decision, it may cost them some money. Friend I am here to tell you that life is very short compared to eternity. Where will you spend yours?

During the Reformation, Protestants condemned Christmas celebration as "trappings of popery" and the "rags of the Beast". The Catholic Church responded by promoting the festival in an even more religiously oriented form. Following the Parliamentary victory over King Charles I during the English Civil War, England's Puritan rulers banned Christmas, in 1647. Pro-Christmas rioting broke out in several cities, and for several weeks Canterbury was controlled by the rioters, who decorated doorways with holly and shouted royalist slogans.[21] The Restoration of 1660 ended the ban, but most of the Anglican clergy still disapproved of Christmas celebrations, using Protestant arguments.

In Colonial America, the Puritans of New England disapproved of Christmas; its celebration was outlawed in Boston from 1659 to 1681. At the same time, residents of Virginia and New York celebrated the holiday freely. Christmas fell out of favor in the United States after the American Revolution, when it was considered an English custom.

By the 1820s, sectarian tension in England had eased and British writers began to worry that Christmas was dying out. They imagined Tudor Christmas as a time of heartfelt celebration, and efforts were made to revive the holiday. Charles Dickens' book A Christmas Carol, published in 1843, played a major role in reinventing Christmas as a holiday emphasizing family, goodwill, and compassion over communal celebration and hedonistic excess.[22]

During the early part of the 19th century, interest in Christmas in America was revived by several short stories by Washington Irving in The Sketch Book of Geoffrey Crayon and "Old Christmas", which depicted harmonious warm-hearted holiday traditions Irving claimed to have observed in England. Although some argue that Irving invented the traditions he describes, they were imitated by his American readers.[23] The numerous German immigrants and the homecomings following the American Civil War helped promote the holiday by bringing with them continental European Christmas traditions still upheld in Catholic and Lutheran countries on the continent. Christmas was declared a U.S. federal holiday in 1870.

In 1914, the first year of World War I, there was an unofficial truce between German and British troops in France. Soldiers on both sides spontaneously began to sing carols and stopped fighting. The truce began on Christmas Day and continued for some time afterward.[24] Although many stories about the truce include a soccer game between the trench lines, there is no evidence that this event actually occurred.

In the later part of the 20th century, the United States experienced controversy over the nature of Christmas, and its status as a religious or secular holiday. Some considered the U.S. government's recognition of Christmas as a federal holiday to be a violation of the separation of church and state. This was brought to trial several times, including in Lynch v. Donnelly (1984)[25] and Ganulin v. United States (1999).[26] On December 6, 1999, the verdict for Ganulin v. United States (1999). declared that "the establishment of Christmas Day as a legal public holiday does not violate the Establishment Clause because it has a valid secular purpose." This decision was upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court on December 19, 2000.

Concerns regarding Christmas' combined Christian and secular nature continued into the 21st century. In 2005, some Christians, along with American conservative commentators such Bill O'Reilly, protested against the perceived secularization of Christmas. Some believed that the holiday was threatened by a general secular trend, or by persons and organizations with an anti-Christian agenda. The perceived trend was also blamed on political correctness.[27]

Christmas or Christmas Day is an annual holiday that marks the traditional birthdate of Jesus of Nazareth. Christmas combines Christian celebrations of the birth of Jesus with various secular traditions and customs, many of which were influenced by ancient winter festivals such as Yule[1] and Saturnalia. Over time, many popular Christmas traditions have developed, including the display of Nativity scenes and Christmas trees, the exchange of gifts and cards, and the arrival of Santa Claus on Christmas Eve. Popular Christmas themes include the promotion of goodwill, giving, compassion, and quality family time.

Christmas is traditionally on December 25. It is preceded by Christmas Eve and in some countries is followed by Boxing Day. Some Eastern Orthodox Churches celebrate Christmas on January 7, which corresponds to December 25 of the Julian calendar. These dates are merely traditional and neither is thought to be the actual birth date of Jesus.[2]

Christmas is celebrated in most countries around the world, owing to the spread of Christianity and Western culture, mixed with the enduring popularity of existing winter celebrations. Various local and regional Christmas traditions are still practiced, despite the widespread influence of American and British Christmas motifs disseminated by film, popular literature, television, and other media.

Here is a list of National Holidays. If you want others there is a way to do it. But you cannot take Christ out of Christmas. I would pray for those that celebrate Christmas celebrate it for the real reason and give praise to God for coming down and giving us all a way to eternal life through Jesus Christ. Christmas is not up for debate. Why do some people think it is? Would anybody want to disrespect Martin Luther King or George Washington or Christopher Columbus, I don't think so.

Federal holidays are designated by Congress in Title V of the United States Code (5 U.S.C. § 6103).[1]

The eleven recognized Federal holidays are:

Date Official Name Remarks
January 1 New Year's Day Celebrates beginning of year, marks traditional end of "holiday season"
Third Monday in January Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr. Honors Martin Luther King, Jr., Civil Rights leader; combined with other holidays in several states (traditionally January 15)
January 20, every fourth year, following Presidential election Inauguration Day Swearing-in of President of the United States and other elected federal officials. Observed only by federal government employees in Washington D.C., and certain counties and cities of Maryland and Virginia, in order to relieve congestion that occurs with this major event. Note: Takes place on January 21 if the 20th is a Sunday (although the President is still privately inaugurated on the 20th).
Third Monday in February Washington's Birthday Honors George Washington. Often popularly observed as "Presidents' Day" in recognition of other American presidents. (traditionally February 22)
Last Monday in May Memorial Day Honors the nation's war dead; marks traditional beginning of summer. (traditionally May 30)
July 4 Independence Day Celebrates Declaration of Independence, usually called the Fourth of July.
First Monday in September Labor Day Celebrate achievements of workers and the labor movement, marks traditional end of summer.
Second Monday in October Columbus Day Honors Christopher Columbus, traditional discoverer of the Americas. In some areas it is also a celebration of Italian culture and heritage. (traditionally October 12)
November 11 Veterans Day Honors all veterans of the United States armed forces.
Fourth Thursday in November Thanksgiving Day Traditionally celebrates the giving of thanks to God for the autumn harvest, and customarily includes the consumption of a turkey dinner.
December 25 Christmas Day Celebrates the Nativity of Jesus which is traditionally observed on 25 December. Secular aspects of this holiday include giving gifts and decorating a Christmas tree.

Write to your local Reresentative or Congressman to change these. Good luck.

This Jihad Is Not Prejudice

By Don Feder

Don Feder delivered the following speech to the Americans for A Safe Israel National Conference (“America And Israel – The Present Danger”) held in New York City on December 3, 2006. – The Editors.

You have a problem. It’s a problem shared by Jews in Hebron, Serbs in Kosovo, Hindus in the Kashmir, Catholics in Lebanon, and Americans walking the streets of New York.

Consider the inter-connectedness of the following incidents, all of which took place in the past few months:

Gap Wants to Profit from Christmas But

They do not want the word Christmas in their stores.

Christmas is Christmas no matter what anybody says. Every retailer in the world wants the sales brought in by Christmas and yet they still try to silence our reason for the season. The birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Even if the store owner or the owner of a company that is in retail do not believe in Christ they should still be respectful of our observance of the most important part of the year. The birth of Christ. Merry Christmas to all and to all a happy new year.

This below comes from
Donald E. Wildmon, Founder and Chairman
American Family Association

Gap, which owns Old Navy, Banana Republic, Forth & Towne and Piperlime, has become the latest politically correct retailer, intentionally censoring the use of "Christmas" in their in-store, online and printed advertising.

Instead of referring to the season as Christmas, Gap instead uses the word "holiday." As hard as we tried, AFA could not find a single instance in which Gap-owned stores use the term "Christmas." Not a single time!

When one Old Navy store manager was asked by AFA if the word Christmas was in his store, he answered, "We have a lot of Christmas gifts in our stores, but the word Christmas is not used here. Everything is 'holiday.'"

Gap wants you to do your Christmas shopping with them, but they don't want to mention the Reason for the season. Gap doesn't want to offend non-Christians by using Christmas. The fact that their censoring the use of Christmas might offend Christians seems to be of no importance.

American-Islamic Relations

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has a web site that does not have America involved as much as they should. The site has a link for the Quran but does not have a link to The Holy Bible. It seems that this would be one sided, would it not? The title of their organization is The Council on American-Islamic Relations. Not, Learn About Islam and the Quran.

This is just another example of how Muslims do not want American beliefs understood or even seen. They are being so mistreated here in America. They do have options, unlike other parts of the world. They are actually protected here and do not have to turn to violence as they are doing in many parts of the world.

Why can't peace work? It could be because of the disregard for other human beings that have the right to live!

What Was Minnesota Thinking?

I think that Keith Ellison has a big misunderstanding of who he works for! He does not have the right to change what this country was founded on. This is the most outrages thing that I have ever heard of even being discussed.

The Holy Bible says to love your neighbor the koran says Qurán 9:5
""The Verse of the Sword""
"" Fight and slay the pegans wherever you find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem""

I do not want someone whose holy book tells them that. What in the world was Minn. thinking electing this guy? Minnesota needs to stand up for our country and contact Keith Ellison. They need to show their regret for electing this guy.

If Minn. was thinking electing this guy is going to help anything at all, they are so wrong!

The United States of America needs to stand together, and I mean stand not sit on their thumbs, and flood their U.S. Representative and Senators to pass a law making the Bible the book used in the swearing-in ceremony of Representatives and Senators as well as any other elected officials.

The following comes from American Family Association

Take Action

1. Send an email asking your U.S. Representative and Senators to pass a law making the Bible the book used in the swearing-in ceremony of Representatives and Senators.
