The Justice Department on Wednesday announced the largest drug bust in 10 years as it rounded up more than 400 members of a Mexico-based cartel distributing tons of cocaine, marijuana and methamphetamines in the United States.

Could the government be trying to take the heat off of putting border patrol agents in prison and also allowing our borders to be so easily crossed for years?

Give them credit for this drug bust but this is only a drop in the bucket. You have to ask yourself what kinds of deals have been made between Mexican "officials" and U.S. "officials" over the years and years of the U.S. turning a blind eye to the problem that has went on for decades. There is an unimaginable amount of money being made selling illegal drugs to Americans and this is very detrimental to our society.

Why do the politicians promise one thing during their run for office then when they get into office it is like "WHAT, did I say that". Or they simply do not do anything and they know that nothing will be done to them for lying. It is a shame how easily politicians lie to us. What has happened to us?

Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean

North Carolina Congressman Walter Jones is sending yet another letter to the White House today, urging the president to take action on behalf of El Paso Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean. The men are serving 11 and 12 years respectively in a federal prison for shooting a fleeing illegal alien who was attempting to smuggle 743 pounds of marijuana into the U.S. The Mexican national was granted immunity for testifying against the agents.

Representative Jones is seizing on a report that shows the judge in the case did not allow the defense to present evidence to the jury of a second drug offense committed by the illegal alien. That revelation prompted yet more outrage from critics who say the government was more interested in prosecuting the agents than the drug smuggler.

Border Patrol agent beaten up in prison

Imprisoned Border Patrol agent Ignacio "Nacho" Ramos was severely beaten in prison, Ramos' family members have confirmed.

The United States Government does not have any backbone anymore and it has been that way for a long time. They are to afraid to stand up for what is right! This is going to be the downfall of America. { Its government}

Our government is more concerned with the welfare of the illegal immigrants coming over our borders than the agents protecting our borders.

Our government is to busy making deals with illegal immigrants and drug smugglers, to prosecute U.S. agents, than to actually protect our borders.

What is it going to take for our government to actually take securing our borders seriously?
